It's real!!!

I can't believe the weekend has come and gone. This weekend, it hit me.... "it's real!"

Here's  what I mean:

Yesterday afternoon, we ended up going to my parents for supper ( I basically invited myself over, because I was too lazy to cook). On our way to my parent's, we drove down the 3rd line...which is soon to become our new address! We kind of do this now, on the way to and from town, we will take a little detour and drive by our new place. We never drive in, but will drive really slow, looking at things again and again, deciding what we will do with certain buildings, with the yard etc.  The whole idea of moving seemed so far away when we orignally signed our offer to purchase, but, in 3 weeks the BIG MOVE will be here!

I think this weekend was the first time that I actually really processed that all of our big changes are finally here!

When we first got engaged, I said " I have SOOO much time, we have a year!" Well, now we are 3 months away. This weekend, I actually got half of my wedding invitations done. I even convinced Ryan to help (even if the only thing he did was stick labels on envelopes) he still helped!  Last night, when I put together my first invitation, I just kind of stared at it, thinking WOW. We're getting married!! It's even more exciting now. When I woke up this morning, I sat and looked at them again. I love them...and can't wait to send them out.

From he on in, we will be busy! Next weekend, we will begin the packing process so that Easter weekend we can have everything else packed (that we don't use on a daily basis) and begin cleaning.

It's a little bit stressful, a lot of work, but very exciting! More so than ever, it's real!!

Student life to farmer's wife (to be!)

I have been wanting to start a blog for a while now, so I have finally "taken the leap" and here I am!

Right now is a BUSY time in my life. I am settling into a new job, planning my upcoming wedding AND moving myself, my 2 kids (who happen to be 100 pounds of slobbery, happy go lucky american bulldog/bullmastiff CUTIES!) my husband-to-be...and all 180 of our newly acquired pets/investment/livelyhood...... SHEEP! Yes, the next 3 months of my life mean major changes, challenges, excitement and fun!

Since moving back to the Pontiac 1 year ago, we have bought a house, become engaged and invested in our sheep farm! Now, moving to a new 130 acre farm while dealing with the challenges and fun of getting married, I have  is buckled up am holding on tight and trying to enjoy this wild ride I like to call, my life.
